The Woman Who Knew Too Much: Adrienne moved within the wealthy and politically connected circles of Los Angeles, where business alliances could be as dangerous as personal betrayals. Her involvement with Congressman Seth Walker eventually drew her into Stratotech, a supposedly legitimate oil venture based around property in Costa Mesa.

In reality, the company was a front for an illegal arms-smuggling operation. Weapons were being sold to Panama and transported through Central America, while Seth used corrupt officials, false geological reports, and unsuspecting investors to conceal the truth. Adrienne became one of Seth’s business partners, but eventually learned enough about the operation to understand the danger surrounding it.

No longer willing to remain silent, Adrienne reportedly threatened to expose the conspiracy to the authorities. Anticipating that something might happen to her, she arranged for a map of Costa Mesa to be delivered to Renee DeWitt with instructions that it be given to Kenny if she died. The map became one of the first indications that Stratotech was hiding something far more sinister than financial fraud.

Adrienne was later found strangled with her own pantyhose. Her husband Jack was initially suspected of killing her, making the murder appear to be rooted in the troubled Fallmont family rather than Seth’s criminal enterprise. Suspicion soon shifted toward geologist Logan Mackenzie, another Stratotech partner with knowledge of the Costa Mesa operation.

The truth emerged when Brett Armstrong discovered surveillance footage from Adrienne’s home. The recording showed Seth entering and leaving around the time of her murder, confirming that Adrienne had been eliminated because she knew too much. Brett used the evidence not to bring Seth to justice, but to blackmail him for a larger share of the profits and protection from suffering Adrienne’s fate.
