The Actress Who Became the Real Thing: Jane Wheeler-Blackthorne began her life in Hollywood as an actress, but one of her most important roles unfolded offscreen. Years earlier, she became entangled in the Blackthorne family when she was hired by Alex Reynolds to pose as the biological mother of R.J., helping conceal the truth that Kelly Kahoano had given birth to Stormy Blackthorne’s son. What began as an elaborate deception eventually drew Jane permanently into the family’s world.

Over time, Jane and Stormy fell in love and built a genuine life together. Now married, they entered the season preparing to welcome their first child and looking toward a future that appeared far more stable than the circumstances that had originally brought them together.

Jane also worked at the Miranda Blackthorne Agency, where she represented model Amelia Strong. Her determination to protect Amelia from drug dealer Seth Orr led to a violent confrontation during which Jane suffered a dangerous fall while pregnant. Believing Seth had caused the loss of their baby, Stormy brutally attacked him and faced serious felony charges.

Jane and the baby survived, but the possibility that Stormy could be sent to prison overshadowed the remainder of the pregnancy. When Jane went into premature labor at thirty-five weeks, Stormy became terrified that he would miss his daughter’s childhood. He finally accepted Carlo Bravetti’s offer to make the charges disappear, unaware of what the family might eventually demand in return.

Jane delivered a healthy premature daughter, giving the Blackthornes reason to celebrate after months of fear. During a wildfire evacuation at Cedars-Sinai, however, the newborn nursery was relocated, and a nurse accidentally placed the baby’s identification band on the wrong bassinet. Jane and Stormy unknowingly took home another infant, while their own daughter was mistakenly given to Riley Weir.

By the end of the season, Jane had survived a dangerous pregnancy, stood beside Stormy through his legal crisis, and finally welcomed the child they had long hoped for. Yet neither parent knew that the baby in their arms was not their daughter.

Jane first entered the Blackthorne family while pretending to be someone she was not. Years later, she had become a devoted wife, mother, and trusted part of the family in her own right. Her life was no longer a role—but one final mistake threatened to rewrite everything she believed she had gained.
