The Dealer Who Turned the Party Deadly: Jeff Branigan was a drug dealer connected to the volatile younger Hollywood circle surrounding Benji Rydell, Sierra Merteuil, Summer Solomon, Duke Summerfield, and Blake Distefano. Confident, reckless, and accustomed to causing trouble without fully considering the consequences, Jeff moved easily through parties, hookups, and petty rivalries.

Jeff had been involved with Summer Solomon, which enraged Duke Summerfield, Summer’s possessive boyfriend. Duke enlisted Benji to help him get revenge, pulling Jeff into the tangled romantic warfare already surrounding Benji and Sierra. What began as jealousy and humiliation soon became part of a much more dangerous chain of events.

At Magnum Rainer’s birthday party, Jeff supplied the drug that Summer slipped into Sierra’s drink. Sierra suffered a terrifying reaction and ran into the street, placing herself in serious danger. When Benji realized Jeff was responsible for providing the drug, he attacked him.

The confrontation escalated quickly. As Benji fought Jeff and tried to protect Sierra, Jeff was struck and killed by a passing car. His death became another turning point in Benji’s downward spiral, deepening the violence, guilt, and chaos that eventually led to Sierra’s murder and Benji’s own destruction.
