The Daughter Caught in the Fire: Tiger was the teenage daughter of Miranda Blackthorne and international hotelier David Jennings. Although Eddie Distefano was her stepfather, he had helped raise Tiger throughout his fifteen-year marriage to Miranda and treated her as his own daughter. Raised inside the extended Blackthorne world, Tiger grew up surrounded by Hollywood power, family loyalty, and the larger-than-life personalities who shaped her mother’s life.

Tiger saw Miranda as a commanding and successful figure: the founder of the Miranda Blackthorne Agency, a respected force in Hollywood, and a woman used to controlling every room she entered. That image began to fracture when questions resurfaced about Nico Bravetti’s conviction for Patty Ruiz’s death.

As the old case came under renewed scrutiny, Tiger began questioning whether her mother had told the truth about what happened at Sunset Studios twenty-five years earlier. The possibility that Miranda had helped send an innocent man to prison unsettled Tiger and strained her understanding of the woman who had raised her.

The scandal became terrifyingly personal when Tiger and Miranda disappeared on the anniversary of Nico’s trial. The Blackthornes initially believed Nico had kidnapped them, but the real culprit was Destiny Bravetti, Nico’s mother. Blaming Miranda for the twenty-five years Nico had lost, Destiny abducted both mother and daughter and tied them back-to-back inside the Bravettis’ abandoned winery as wildfires closed in around them.

Inside the burning winery, Tiger became a witness to the truth her mother had spent decades avoiding. Miranda finally confessed that she had lied and knowingly helped send Nico to prison. The revelation changed Tiger’s relationship with her mother in an instant, forcing her to understand that the scandal was not simply gossip, misunderstanding, or old Hollywood history—it was a lie with devastating consequences.

Nico, who had once been seen as the threat, became Tiger’s rescuer. After escaping Destiny’s trap, he drove into the wildfire and carried Tiger through the flames to safety. He then returned inside after Eddie rescued Miranda, only for the winery to collapse moments later. Nico was presumed dead, leaving Tiger alive because of the man her mother had helped destroy.
