Ty’s life ended on the night Nico Bravetti was released from prison. When Nico broke into Zoanne’s home searching for weapons, he discovered Zoanne and Ty already dead inside. Believing his prison alter ego, “The Beast,” might somehow have been responsible, Nico fled with Zoanne’s guns and unknowingly deepened the confusion around the murders.

Detective Carver later reopened the investigation and uncovered evidence suggesting that Nico had not killed either victim. Blood-spatter patterns, footprints, and hidden payments pointed to a more complicated crime. An accidental photograph on Ty’s phone ultimately became a crucial clue, capturing a gold Silverdale Telepictures ring near the murder scene.

The truth was that Zoanne had been blackmailing Franklin Merrick, the chairman of Silverdale Telepictures, after discovering his affair with a married woman at a company retreat. Franklin went to Zoanne’s home with another payment, struggled with her over a gun, and shot her. When Ty arrived and witnessed the crime, Franklin killed him as well.
